- Assist doctors with critical procedures like central line insertion, intubation, lumbar puncture, and chest tube placement
- Operate and troubleshoot ICU equipment including monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and defibrillators
- Carry out regular patient assessments — neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, and pain evaluations
- Manage airway care for ventilated patients including suctioning, ETT care, and tracheostomy management
- Keep ICU charts up to date with assessments, medications given, and any changes in patient condition
- Respond quickly to emergencies — cardiac arrests, respiratory failures, and other life-threatening situations
- Coordinate with pharmacy, lab, radiology, and blood bank for urgent patient needs
- Follow strict infection control practices to keep the ICU environment safe for patients and staff

- Bonus: Post-basic diploma in Critical Care Nursing is an added advantage
For Medical Officers (MBBS):
- Education: MBBS from an MCI/NMC-recognized college

- Experience: 2–4 years of clinical experience with meaningful ICU exposure, preferably in a multi-specialty hospital

- Skills: Familiar with ICU protocols — sepsis management, ventilator settings, hemodynamic monitoring
- Procedures: Able to perform central lines, arterial lines, intubation, and basic bedside ultrasound
Common Requirements:
- Good communication in Hindi and English; Dogri is a plus
- Calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and genuinely committed to patient care
- Team player — comfortable working with consultants, intensivists, physiotherapists, and paramedical staff
- Physically fit to handle long shifts and respond to emergencies quickly
ICU Equipment & Technology:
- Multi-parameter monitors (ECG, BP, SpO2, EtCO2, temperature)

- Neonatal equipment — warmers, neonatal ventilators, phototherapy units, incubators
- Portable X-ray, bedside ultrasound, ABG analyzers, and glucometers
- Fully stocked crash carts and difficult airway management kits

Quality & Safety Standards:
- Strict infection prevention — following CLABSI and CAUTI prevention bundles
- Thorough ICU documentation — hourly vitals, intake-output, ventilator logs, and medication records
- Participation in mock code blue drills and emergency preparedness exercises
- 24/7 patient monitoring with clear escalation protocols when patients deteriorate
- Active involvement in ICU audits, mortality reviews, and quality improvement programs
